NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting

The NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting course is the best way for you to learn the basics from an instructor certified by the top firearms training organization in the world! This course is the first step for you to gain the knowledge and confidence you need to handle your pistol and shoot with accuracy and skill. Whether you are new to shooting, or just want to refresh your knowledge, this is the course for you.

Some of the topics we will cover include: Safety; Pistol types and how to choose; Basics of ammunition; Fundamentals of pistol shooting; Shooting positions; Cleaning and maintenance and more.

This class is fully Instructor-led and is very hands on. For that reason, we limit the class size so everyone benefits. The class consists of the 6-7 hours of classroom plus 2-3 hours of range time (typically, range time will be scheduled on a different day). Contact me if you have a group who would like to take the class together. We can hold a "private" class for a group of at least 5 people.

The cost is $125 per student which includes your workbook, range fee, and use of the instructor's .22 pistols. You will need a pen and notebook, eye and ear protection for the range and at least 200 rounds of .22LR ammunition.

Discounts are available for groups, TWAW members, prior students and others.
